GreenLight Initiative is a Nigerian non-profit organization that is keen on saving lives through prevention of violent deaths and injury. We employ evidence-based interventions and advocacy campaigns to reduce death rates and injuries on the roads of Africa’s largest country. Our non-profit organization, which commenced operations in March 2013, is registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission and in partnership with several reputable government agencicies as well as private organisations. GreenLight produces and broadcasts a widely-tuned in weekly road safety radio program, on the Nigeria Armed Forces Radio 107.7fm, Abuja.

Drive2live is a media campaign that include social media and 45minutes weekly radio program on roads safety featured on Nigerian Armed Forces Radio 107.7fm. This also include a twitter chat with the hash tag ‘’#Drive2Live’’ on social media. This programme is aimed at creating an awareness on the importance of road safety as well as enlighten people on the rules and regulations to obey so as to enjoy a save road travel.
Greenlight Initiative has led and championed several interventions aimed at reducing the number of road traffic fatalities and crashes on roads. One of the flagship programs is the Traffic Safety Advocates Training, through which young people and drivers are trained to become advocates. Trainees are making real impact by leading road safety awareness campaigns in their respective communities.
In an attempt to catch them young, GreenLight educate and create awareness on the importance of road safety among students. GreenLight Initiative visits schools to educate and sensitize adolescence and young adult as well as organizes quiz and debate competition on road safety.
